Kleen Up Solar team

The team.

Cape Town-based. Built for commercial solar. Focused on the gap between commissioning and performance.

Kleen Up Solar was founded on a straightforward observation: South Africa is commissioning solar assets faster than anyone is maintaining them. Most portfolios are degrading quietly. We built the capability to fix that. Four services, one operator: PV cleaning, technical annual inspections, drone inspections, and maintenance. 70 sites. 80,000+ panels. 120 MW under management.

“South Africa is building solar faster than anyone is maintaining it. We built Kleen Up Solar to change that.”

Vision

To be South Africa’s most trusted solar O&M partner, the first call for every asset owner who wants their portfolio performing at full capacity.

Mission

We protect the performance of commercial solar assets through PV cleaning, technical annual inspections, drone inspections, and maintenance, delivered with IEC-compliant rigour across every site we service.

Values

Flat-rate pricing locked in before we fly. IEC TS 62446-3:2017 compliance on every site without exception. And a straightforward preference for long-term partnerships over once-off jobs.

Bradley Eachus, Founder and Company Owner, Kleen Up Solar

Bradley Eachus

Company Owner

Bradley brought a decade in solar to Kleen Up Solar. Five years as Director of Business Development at Solar Earth Technologies, then the same role at Ergosun Integrated Solar Roof Tiles in Ontario, working across pricing, partnerships, and market entry into Canada. He spoke at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's Beyond The Panel Conference in Denver. What he kept seeing was the same thing: sites commissioned, then left. Owners checking in once a year, counting on rain to do the rest, while output losses of 10, 20, sometimes 40 percent sat there undetected. That's the problem Kleen Up Solar exists to fix. Bradley holds a BA in Socio-Informatics from Stellenbosch University.

Gareth Hayden

Director

Gareth started Kleen Up in 2016, after more than a decade as a partner at South Seas Import Export. He studied Business Science (Accounting and Finance) at UCT. When solar started scaling across South Africa, the maintenance side couldn't keep up. Sites were being commissioned faster than anyone could service them, and most operators weren't set up to handle it properly. Gareth brought Kleen Up into the space because he knew operations. As Director of Kleen Up Solar, he runs fulfilment across the full portfolio. Every job goes out under the same standards the original business was built on.
